The Decom IVO U13 Tournament is an annual event on the youth football calendar since 2011. The tournament hosts at the end of the regular season a two-day event in which international youth academies get invited to. Numerous European countries have been represented over the years. Among them are The Netherlands, Germany, England, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Scotland and Russia.

The tournament falls under an elite-tournament program, coordinated by Dutch Eredivisie club VVV-Venlo. The program is structured by amateur partner clubs who each host an elite category tournament for different age groups, such as U9, U10, U11, U13, U14, and U17. IVO Velden, which is the hosting sports ground and base of the tournament committee, hosts the U13 elite tournament. Over the years, many matches have been held and each edition the committee commits to include its key principles: internationalisation, development and competitiveness.

Internationalisation is one of the key principles which importance is seen in the represented countries during the editions. The committee strives to welcome as much as possible countries during the event. An international environment brings new playing styles, other languages and different perspectives on and off the pitch of which everyone can benefit.

Development is the second key principle. The committee realises that youth football players can improve the best if many minutes can be played in different circumstances, playing styles and match formats. Therefore, the committee keeps in mind, while organising, top sports aspects of the game, such as healthy foods, fair play and many opportunities to develop.

Competitiveness is the third tournament’s key principle. In order to maximise the development principle, matches have to be competitive. Participants will be invited and confirmed keeping in mind the strength of the overall level present. In this way the committee tries to increase the competitiveness for each participant.

We hope you are as enthusiastic as we are. If you are interested to participate in our next edition, please contact our team coordinator. The committee does its best to achieve and satisfy its key principles and we hope your team can experience a wonderful tournament.
